When semi-pro boxer Benny returns to Philly after a year in the slammer, our wise-ass finds that he can’t catch a break. His brother has moved in on his girl, and he’s being strong-armed by a creepy bookie to throw an upcoming fight.

With life’s little surprises leaving him punch-drunk, a mysterious newcomer to the his native city arrives only to fight her own battles with a string of hapless suitors. When the two outcasts meet at motel, Benny starts to believe she might just turn his luck around.
